Spirio Spotlight
October 2016
Musical Highlights From The Spirio Catalog
This month Steinway & Sons Spirio dives into the pop hits, covering a range of music written by Elton John, Michael Bublé, The Eagles, Pink, Céline Dion and many more.
Spirio also delivers music from Christopher Cross, Christina Perri and John Legend, among others. Steinway artist David Osborne, an exceptionally accomplished pianist, performs many of these tunes in compelling and intelligent arrangements. Also contributing to this collection are New York–based pianists Sunny Choi and Jed Distler.
what’s New
Stepping outside of the pop world, we’ve added a new track from Nuevo-tango artist Pablo Ziegler — his Alguien sin Nombre, is a prelude to a complete set of music that will be added next month. Antonio Pompa-Baldi performs Mozart’s famous F Major Sonata, K. 332, as well as a formidable set of the Schubert Impromptus, D 935. And from the astonishing virtuosity of Alexandre Moutouzkine we present a full program that explores the fascinating world of the piano music of Cuba, from the 17th century to the present.
