Quick Start Guide

1. Set Up iPad

  • Open up the new iPad and follow the on screen set up instructions using the customers AppleID. In the rare situation where someone does not have an AppleID, they should follow the prompts to create an account. This step should only take a few minutes.

  • As part of the iPad set up process, you need to make sure to connect to WIFI. Should there be any issue with connectivity in your location make sure you move to wherever you can get the best signal.

2. Download the Spirio App

  • Go to the “App Store,” search for “Steinway Spirio” and then download the free Steinway Spirio app. This also should only take about a minute.

3. Enter Spirio Customer Code

  • Open the app and enter the Spirio customer code for this specific customer (each customer is assigned a unique code). Your manager should create the code at http://spiriodealer.steinway.com at least one week prior to delivery. Do not use a Dealer ID or Technician ID for the customer – they must receive a unique code.

  • Once you enter the code and basic customer information, the music will load in the app. This should take several minutes, but again, it is important to make sure you have a good WIFI connection.

4. Wireless Connections

  • Go to the Spirio piano and push the button on the Bluetooth adapter. Open “Settings” on the iPad. Select “Bluetooth.” Flip the tab to green so it is “on.” The Spirio Bluetooth ID will appear and will include the serial number of the piano. Select it.

  • Open the Spirio app. Click the Settings icon (lower left). Make sure the “Output Signal and Device” slider is pulled all the way to the right. Click the Airplay symbol and make sure the Bluetooth adaptor is selected rather than iPad. These two simple steps will solve most issues that arise should a customer have trouble connecting to the piano.

  • Keep the iPad within 30 feet of the piano.

5. Play

  • Start playing the piano.
