SPIRIO SPOTLIGHT

Spirio on Broadway, Peter Bence on Spirio, the great Cécile Chaminade and Time to Focus

This month on Spirio we present the music of Broadway over the decades — from Richard Rodgers to Andrew Lloyd-Webber to Pasek and Paul. There are new tracks for more recent shows like Dear Evan Hansen and Mean Girls and an updated playlist featuring tunes from many of the classics.

And we are thrilled to announce the Spirio debut of the sensational Peter Bence, whose unique piano arrangements and energetic performances have captivated millions worldwide. He is featured in a SpirioSync video of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. He will also be featured this month in a live Spiriocast from Steinway Hall in New York City.

Joanne Polk plays

Chaminade

Cécile Chaminade was a gifted French composer and pianist. Her music is notable for its engaging melodies and romantic spirit. Her piano works are a real treasure, and we are fortunate to have pianists such as Joanne Polk who are reviving these works by an artist who was famous in her time but less well known today.

As the summer ends, we are updating playlists to provide a soundtrack for what may be a more industrious time of the year. If you’re diving into new projects or academic studies or just getting back to work, Spirio has the music for when it is time to focus.

Finally, there are some new tracks we have recreated to acknowledge the pantheon of our Steinway Immortals roster. This month, we provide a taste of the artistry of Shura Cherkassky, Alexander Brailowsky and Alfred Cortot.
