Hayato Sumino, known as “Cateen” by his 1 million YouTube subscribers, dazzles and delights with his original compositions and fresh takes on famous works. His recent appearance at the Chopin competition also displayed his serious approach to classical repertoire and his formidable technique. He debuts on Spirio with his own “Big Cat Waltz” and an original approach to Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”, also as SpirioSync videos.

The Music of

Percy Grainger
Kevin Hays

Steinway Immortal Percy Grainger was born in Australia and lived much of his life in America, though his music captured images of British culture and folk music. This month we celebrate his birthday as Simon Mulligan embarks on a complete survey of his solo piano music with popular works such as “Handel in the Strand”, “Molly on the Shore”, “Country Gardens” and others.

Jazz pianist and composer Kevin Hays has had a busy recording career collaborating with many important artists of our day. His music embraces standards and popular music, always with his absorbing and distinctive style. He returns to Spirio this month with an extended set recorded at Steinway Hall in New York, including a spiriosync video of Irving Berlin's “Blue Skies”.
