Spirio Spotlight

Stevie wonder, Edvard grieg, a Bill Evans video
plus... Lise de la Salle

In June, Steinway & Sons Spirio, the world’s finest high resolution player piano, celebrates the music of two artists from different eras with timeless appeal. The infectious, grooving tunes of one of the most popular singer songwriter pianists of all time, Stevie Wonder, are interpreted by Steinway artists for Spirio: “You Are the Sunshine of My Life”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing”, and many more.

The Music of Grieg

It’s the birthday of Edvard Grieg (June 15), like Wonder a composer–pianist, but a Romantic from the 19th century. Grieg created the best-known music to come from Norway, weaving Norwegian folk tunes into such well-known works as Peer Gynt, the Holberg Suite, and his prolific and lovely Lyric Pieces.

Antonio Pompa-Baldi continues his exploration of the complete works by Grieg, this month featuring the Lyric Pieces Book 7, Op. 62, and Book 8, Op. 65, in addition to the famous Peer Gynt Suites.
