Lori Payton, Piano Instructor
Lori Payton teaches private piano lessons at Steinway Piano Gallery with the goal of enriching the lives of those in the community through music. In addition to teaching, Lori also performs and accompanies at various venues around Michigan.
TEACHING PROGRAM
Lori Payton offers weekly piano lessons for students ages 5 through adult. She teaches beginners and advanced students alike and provides a customized curriculum based on each student’s needs and goals. Lessons incorporate note-reading, ear training, technique, theory and performance. One recital is offered each year. Tuition for lessons is $35 per half hour, billed biweekly or at each lesson, and the first lesson is free. Students are required to have an acoustic piano or weighted-key keyboard at home to use for practice.
ABOUT LORI
- Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University
- Masters in Education with emphasis in curriculum and instruction from Texas Wesleyan University
- Began as a music major in piano before deciding upon elementary education
- Performer at All Seasons Senior Living Community, West Bloomfield
- Accompanist for District and State Solo and Ensemble
- Accompanist for various community musical performances
