Since 1977, Steinway & Sons of Michigan has assisted local colleges, universities, and fine arts organizations with piano inventory management. We have recently expanded our services to include a limited number of K-12 schools. We are here to provide the resources to insure that your school district’s pianos are a positive reflection of the value you place on your music education programs.

Would your students be interested in the science of sound and how that science affects the design of a piano? We’ll come to your classroom and present a hands-on demonstration!
Or, learn how a Steinway piano is made. Steinway & Sons has a rich, exciting history of art, innovation, and craftsmanship. Your class can take a field-trip to our store to see how a Steinway piano is made, and you’ll also be able to see and touch the different components on these instruments.

Matthew Figgie’s dream fulfilled with nothing but Steinway pianos for Gilmour
GATES MILLS – Once-heavy hearts were filled with joy at The Lorraine and Bill Dodero Center for Performing Arts in December 2019, when movers wheeled a nine-foot Model D concert grand into a specially designed enclave near the main stage. It marked the last delivery of 10 new Steinways and capped Matthew Figgie’s fait accompli – one final mission of many for his beloved Gilmour Academy.

Ottawa Hills Local Schools
On Saturday, April 21, Ottawa Hills Local Schools held their biennial fundraising event, the Green Bear Ball, created to raise funds for special projects within the district. Ottawa Hills decided that this year, the major portion of the proceeds would go toward the purchase of pianos.
