It’s been an exciting month for the Traverse City Philharmonic. They recently purchased a Steinway grand piano from Steinway Piano Gallery of Detroit. Assisted by Wilbur Miller and President Tim Hoy of Steinway, along with the help of technicians and teachers, they carefully evaluated each Steinway from the concert & artist pool before deciding on a Steinway D Concert Grand. The piano was delivered by JPs Piano Moving to the Traverse City Philharmonic Center, a newly renovated section of the old Cherryland Mall in Traverse City, which will serve as the new home of the Traverse City Philharmonic. A community music center will also be housed there. Here is Dr. Kedrick Merwin, Executive Director for the Traverse City Philharmonic, standing next to the piano.
