A big Bach Anniversary & Steinway Cocktails

The esteemed pianist Garrick Ohlsson debuts on Spirio this month performing the beloved Opus 118 set of piano works by Johannes Brahms. A student of the legendary Claudio Arrau, Ohlsson is one of today’s premiere recitalists and concert performers and we are honored for him to join the Spirio roster. The performances were recorded at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and include a SpirioSync video.
Another artist in great demand who recently had his Carnegie Hall debut is Aaron Diehl. Equally at home as a soloist with a symphony orchestra as in a session with today's top jazz artists, Diehl performs a set (and SpirioSync video) recorded at Steinway Hall in New York — and for this performance focuses on a pivotal era of solo jazz piano that showcases Ragtime and Stride.
This year marks the 300th Anniversary of Bach’s essential and ground-breaking work, the Well-Tempered Clavier. We released excerpts of the work earlier this year with Jeremy Denk, and this month feature the complete cycle with the veteran Canadian pianist Robert Silverman.
Finally, we introduce the latest in our themed-compilations for Spirio. This month we feature Steinway Cocktails.
